To change the TLS settings in Thunderbird, you need to make a change in Thunderbirds preferences.
Open Thunderbird, then click on ‘Thunderbird’ at the top of the page, and click ‘Preferences’, now scroll to the bottom of the preferences page and click ‘Config Editor’, in the box that pops up, ‘Ok’ the risk, now scroll down the list (or search for security.tls.version.min) till you see ‘security.tls.version.min’ now double click on it, and in the box that pops up enter the number ‘1’ and then ‘OK’ and close Thunderbird, when you reopen, your settings will have been updated.
